The Keystone Jazz Institute Student Combos
The student performers are gathered from the NEPA region and attend a very intense five-day workshop. During the course of the week students study jazz theory, harmony, improvisation, ensemble work and the performance application of these skills. Educators at the KJI are: guitarist/educator Bill Washer, bassist/educator Tony Marino, saxophonist/educator Jim Buckley, saxophonist/educator Tom Hamilton and drummer/pianist/educator Marko Marcinko who also serves as artistic director.
