Having a passion for the blues all his life, Bobby Kyle has devoted his life to pursuing that passion. First learning his trade from blues masters Bill Dicey and Eddie Kirkland, he has been travelling for almost forty years, blazing a trail with his unique style that holds tight to traditional blues and intertwines modern twists flawlessly. In his career, Kyle has been lucky enough to be member in the bands of some of his great masters and mentors: Lonnie Mack at the end of the 70’s, between 1979 and 1981 with New York area white harmonica player Bill Dicey, Eddie Kirkland from 1983 to 1989 with and from 1989 to 1997 with Johnny Copeland.

With these experiences, Bobby Kyle has gained knowledge and mastery enough to develop a successful solo career, as a singer and guitar player and as a composer and producer. He leads his own band, The Administers. They have been performing together since 1997 and have recorded several cd’s and perform his contemporary & traditional blues music along with classic cover songs by his mentors in life: Copeland, Robert Lockwood Jr, Little Sammy Davis, Johnny Shines, Lowell Fulson among others.
While working with Eddie Kirkland and Johnny Copeland, Bobby Kyle has performed and recorded with Dr. John, Buckwheat Zydeco, Randy Weston, Luther Allison, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Hubert Sumlin, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Lonnie Mack, and Shemekia Copeland to name a few. Recently, he had the great honor to be inducted into The Blues Hall of Fame.
