Saxophonist Gary Keller has performed, toured, and/or recorded in multiple genres with scores of name performers, including vocalists Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Gloria Estefan, Tony Bennett; jazz artists Woody Herman, Maria Schneider, Kenny Werner, Billy Hart, Brian Lynch, the Jaco Pastorius Big Band; and classical ensembles such as the Florida Philharmonic, The New World Symphony, and the Frost Symphony. He has performed at major jazz festivals and clubs on five continents, and presented concerts and master classes at prestigious institutions such as the Royal Academy of Music, Sibelius Academy, Guildhall School, the Amsterdam Conservatory, and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He is the founding member of the Miami Saxophone Quartet, performing and producing five albums on the Fourtitude record label. Keller’s debut solo recording “Blues for an Old New Age” received a near perfect rating by Penguin Guide To Jazz On CD, who termed it “a thinker’s delight” and “extremely well done.” Recently retired after forty years as professor of jazz saxophone at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, Keller has continued an active performing schedule and his students are flourishing in all corners of the music profession across the globe.
