SJF Partners with Steamtown & Iron Horse Society for a Jazz Train — Aug 8

On Saturday, August 8, Iron Horse Society and the Scranton Jazz Festival partner for a one-day-only rail experience: the Jazz Train.

Departing from Steamtown's boarding platform, our vintage steam train makes a scenic run to Nay Aug Park and back. Along the way, enjoy an acoustic jazz set from Mike Kuehn & The PA Jazz Society featuring Drew Nugent and Johnny Peppers, performing on banjo, trumpet, and bass saxophone. No amps, no backing tracks — just three musicians, a moving train, and the open air.

Ride in the band's car for the full live experience, or enjoy their sound through the train's PA system from any seat.

Five departures throughout the day. Tickets support Iron Horse Society and Steamtown.
